Irina Greciuhina (b. 1982) lives and works in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. She studied Painting at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts in Chisinau and Architecture and Urban Planning at the Technical University of Moldova. Since 2007, Irina is leading an Architectural and Design bureau in Chisinau, working on exclusive national and international projects.
In her painting and digital prints, Irina Greciuhina experiments different art styles and techniques. She confronts stereotypical archetypes of women, balancing pop-art postures and colours with surreal background and design patterns. The art critics define the artist’s approach is well integrated into the broader paradigm of 21st century feminism (the “second sex” conquest of all power, including political and cultural). However, Greciuhina rejects any “group” or ideological “props” that she finds unnecessary for her art.
Irina Greciuhina exhibited her works in Moldova, Romania, Italy, Spain and France. She is represented by art galleries in Bucharest (Romania), Los Angeles (U.S.A), Stavanger (Norway) and Moscow (Russia). Her works can be found in private and corporate collections in Europe and Asia.
Theopen-art.com is pleased to present the first VR art exhibition of Irina Greciuhina, desplaying 15 paintings, 8 digital prints and 2 videos.
This project is part of the Bucharest Art Galleries Support Program, initiated by the City Hall, through the General Directorate of Landscape, Architecture and Public Monuments and the Cultural Center Expo Arte.
